This is old, and you’ve probably all seen it, but this video is a top ten all time for me. 10:47 IN THE MORNING.

So a few of my friends and I are considering making some new sketches. We had some a while back that I can’t find or I’d post them to Youtube. One brief example- we had one titled the Wii World Boxing Championship of the World featuring a friend of mine who was rising up through the boxing ranks to take on who we’d dubbed then champ Daisuke. We chronicled his training(beer, smokes, and ribs were a large part) leading up to the fight, then the fight itself. We were pleased with the results.
Here’s what I’m looking for: ideas for skits/sketches we can act out with 4-5 people and 1-2 cameras. If you’ve got any you can offer up, by all means do so. We’re looking for things that can be done and edited down to under 10 minutes(though we’re happy to do longer projects, it’ll just take longer to complete them), or ideally 3, where the attention span of the normal internet viewer stops. Give me your good, bad, or other ideas. I’ll make sure we credit you in the concept portion of the credits. Oh, and tell your friends! There’s probably no idea too crazy.
*4 people ride in a car, Biz Markie’s ‘Just A Friend’ blares on the radio*
Guy in the back, wearing his sunglasses at night:
“I said, “How do you like the show?”
She said, “I was very amused”
I started throwin’ bass, she started throwin’ back mid-range
But when I sprung the question, she acted kind of strange
[Unexplainable jump in the song to a different verse]
Blonde girl who has clearly had a bit too much:
I called her room, a guy picked up, and then I called again
I said, “Yo, who was that?” “Oh, he’s just a friend”
Don’t gimme that, don’t even gimme that
The cab driver cranks up a stereo that’s nicer than the one in any vehicle I’ve ever owned. All, cab driver included:
OH BABY YOU, YOU GOT WHAT I NEEEEED
BUT YOU SAY HE’S JUST A FRIEND
YOU SAY HE’S JUST A FRIEND
The commercial closes with “Let a stranger drive you home.” and the following screen explains it’s a Heineken commercial.
A lot of people will give HIM a glance, write them off as emo, or teenager music, or whatever else, and not give them a second look. I really enjoy Ville Valo’s vocals, and Linde’s guitar is fantastic. The rest of the band ain’t half bad either. I ask you only to tell me that the chorus for “Right Here In My Arms”(above) isn’t one of the catchiest you’ve heard in a long while. When you’re done there, check out “Buried Alive By Love” below. If you don’t find yourself looking for more of their music, then forget I pointed you to either of these songs, and go about your day.
Oh, and yes, that is Juliette Lewis.
